I have had a number of different job and life experiences which has lead to me to enter into the Real Estate Business a few years ago.
I graduated from the Univrsity of Tennessee in 1968 with a BS Degree in Agronomy - study of soils and grasses.
I entered in the US Army in 1969 Honorably Discharged in 1971 after 17 months in South Vietnam
For the next 15 years I help construct and maintain golf courses in the Tampa area. At one point i was the Supt. in charge of three golf courses. One of those courses hosted a Senior PGA golf tournament for two years. I was able to meet and play with some of the finest golfers during that time. That exposure must have rubbed off on me as I was able to elevate my own game, competed and won a number of city, state and national championships
Upon leaving the golfing arena, my wife and I purchased 25 acres in Plant City, Fl. My wife developed a Saddlebred horse business. Actually we did quite well in the breeding and showing including a Reserve National Championfor in the 3-year old bracket. I developed the remaining parcels for a tree nursery, landscape installation, maintenace and irrigation business. This we did for 15 years.
My wife - Jane - has a background in banking and accepted a job as President of Ocala Community Credit Union and has been there for 14 years. We communuted for a period of time, sold the farm and moved permamently to Ocala in 2002.
Fours years of a re-roofing salesman in Marion County showed me that I needed to keep my feet on the ground and thus entered into the Real Estate Business with Weichert Realtors/Hallmark Properties in 2007
